B is for Butterfly

I don't think I can do the whole alphabet with the rest of the ABC alongs, but I did find these nice pictures of a swallowtail on a purple coneflower that Scott took last summer.

Elizabeth,

Those are some of the best nature photos I've seen. Did your DH use a digital or 35mm camera? I'm inspired to start on my pics of the garden this year now. Ali

Those sure are pretty pics. How come "butterfly" is part of the yarn/knitting abc's? What about boucle or birch (as in wooden needles)? Do you get to pick what to put for each letter and you choose what you like and it doesn't have to be knitting related? I guess I don't get the premise. Not trying to be critical, I just want to know. I almost always want to know. I love alphabet books. I make the 4th graders do one every year in which they must research an item for each letter.

Kathy, although the participants are members of the same knitting forum, the Knitty Coffeeshop, the ABC's need not be knitting related. Just something fun to practice better photography and showcase our other interests.
