I spun the 3 ply yarn from some of the Brown Sheep mill ends, dyed with grape Kool-Aid. The roving was a mix of wool and mohair, mostly white with a streak of black, before the weak Kool-Aid bath. I'll try to get an image of it on my head when it finishes drying.

It looks great! I like the tweediness. And it's a good thing your neighbors know you knit.
"Honey, what's Elizabeth next door doing wearing a wool beret in July?"
It's a STUNNER! My gracious...and bezzie? This is Wisconsin, where the state motto is "If you don't like the weather - wait a minute!" (Believe me, that delicious beret will get plenty of air time before long!) and what a very comely picture....
Oooo tres chic! :)
You pull off a beret very well!
That came out great!!!!! You look great in hats! I, however, look like a toad under a cabbage leaf! See you Saturday?
I love it. It's really crunchy/sophisticated. I enjoy these roving to FO stories so much.
Very jaunty! You do wear a hat well.
I'm afraid I won't be able to make it to Last Sat Knitting :(, but look forward to next month.
Your tam is just lovely. Beautiful spinning, dyeing and knitting! My DD who spins and knits must see this. :)
Wow, I wish I looked good with a beret! They're so stylish and jaunty and cosmopolitan. You look very sophisticated.
OK, it's unanimous - you're the only person we all know who looks good in a beret. And that is some lovely spinning, as well!
The next time I get the urge to knit a beret/tam/cylinder o' yarn, you'll be the lucky recipient. Don't hold your breath, though, I believe I've knit a grand total of one such item in the past 17 or 18 years.
That is a beautiful hat. I don't understand how so many people think they look bad in berets. I have NEVER seen anybody looking bad in a beret. I truly believe it is the one hat that looks good on everybody.
Wow, that looks great on you. You're such a good hat wearer!
The color is lovely.
That is one stonking beret - absolutely adore it and you wear it well!
