New Project!

This is the strange looking knitting, about 48 hours later. I'm very excited about this project and find it hard to stop to take care of things like meals and getting kids from school.

I misplaced my copy of Knitting From the Top, so I'm working out the top-down set-in style cap sleeves as well as I can from logic and memory. Seems to be working so far.

It's even more gorgeous than I imagined! The cable down the front is perfect! As well as a great diversion from all of that stockinette.

Lucky SIL! I've always wanted to just do a sweater like that...one big cable, nothing fancy. Nice to see what it looks like! Very nice1

WOW -- That really looks nice! That is a great cable, too! (p.s. don't forget the bust darts :-)

This is lovely. I can see why you want to keep at it. I would too, except it wouldn't be half as amazing or as confidently tackled.

You did all that in 48 hours? Absolutely amazing! I'm ashamed of my non progress on two big projects here.

The top-down sweater looks like that rare creature, the sweater that is as much fun to knit as it is to wear. If you need another SIL or sister, I'm available :)

Ooooh, I love it! It's so pretty and flattering and still fun to knit. You are writing this one up, right? I have the perfect yarn for it in my stash.

That looks wonderful, which I would have said a few days ago, except for the virus sitting on my chest that kept me from having the oomph to actually post anything.

Wow. Elizabeth, that's gorgeous. It's not even half done yet, but I'm pretty confident that it's my favorite of *all* your designs.

Happy Groundhog's Day!
