Awesome pictures. I especially like the last fern picture. What a beautiful form. It ought to be embroidered on the front of the royal tunic, or at least the royal undies. I've tried to grow Russian Irises. I think they must need a lot of light even though they're from Russia, which I think of as a fairly overcast country.

These irises like moisture (Siberian irises I think they are)- I have one batch in the bog garden and one batch in the shallows of the pond.

Those fern pictures make me want ferns. I'm not allowed to plant anything more this year though. Maybe next year. :)

Wonderful photos, and glad that MrSABLE has clarified the name of the iris...tsk!

Seeing these photos makes me realise I want/need a better camera. Thanks for sharing them!

You say Siberian; I say Russian. Thank you, Mr. Sable. I almost certainly underwatered them. They are the failure that turned me off gardening. I had no reconnaisance at the time that would lead me to believe they needed wet. Therefore it wasn't my fault. This makes me feel better

Beautiful photos! I especially love the curly fronds on the ferns.
