What a difference

24 hours can make...

Owen's been getting a little fed up with his long hair lately. Tonight I gave him a cut. Not too bad. He didn't scream at me and try to glue the old hairs back on one by one. So this is progress.

In spite of the angry teen look he's making in that photo, he was really just goofing. He was laughing about 2 seconds before that picture was taken.

Hi Owen!

My son went through a long hair phase when he was in 9th grade. Lots of people said, "Why don't you make him cut his hair?" Eh, it's his hair. There are far worse things he could have been doing. When he was tired of it, he got a hair cut.

Oo...see now I'm most impressed by your haircutting skills. Very nice. I've got to replace the blade on my electric razor so I couldn't buzz Chunky's head last time, I actually had to cut it the old fashioned way. Hopefully by the time he's Owen's age, I'll be a little bit better!!!

Lookin' good, Owen (well, except for the surly teenager look)! At least his hair didn't disappear while you were off knitting...*snicker*

Now see, I didn't see that as an Angry Teenage Look - I see it as a Serious Intellectual Look. (Not to mention a very handsome young man; keep that one, Mom!)

Nice job on the hair cut! I struggle a little bit with the longer styles (crew cut with the trimmers - no problem -- but not sure what to do to allow it to be a little longer and still look good). Nice when our kids like it when we cut their hair, though -- sure does save $$

That's a nice haircut! Nothing like the bowl cut my mother used to give me. You have some real hair cutting skillz.

He looks like a different kid! I love it when they decide they will cut their hair- so much better (to me)
