Neighborhood sighting

It's not every day a person sees the Oscar Mayer WienerMobile parked a block from her house. On a residential street. With nothing going on. In front of a mid-'60s ranch house. Very mysterious.

I guess you didn't know. The wienermobile can ONLY park in front of 50's and 60's ranch houses. Well actually, ranch HOMES.

Sweet mother of Fatzah! Do you know how excited I was as a kid to see the weinermobile in Alaska?? It's a Little Emperor Birthday Miracle!

Somebody taking the company car home at night? The homeowners won a bbq party thrown by Oscar Weiner? Umm...someobody won it on eBay? I don't know.

And who the hell is Fatzah?

I'd love to go inside and look around, wouldn't you? Does it play the Oscar Mayer song when it drives down the road?

I love it.
My brother checked into a hotel in Auburn Alabama once and it was parked there. The kids loved it.

Uh Oh. Better call the Madison Bomb Squad. It could be another one in an even more sinisterly clever disguise!
He can apply where I work! And how bout Epic?
Happy Birthday Little Emperor!

My immediate thought was some guy stopped for a quickie with his (married) girlfriend who lives on the other side of the block. Didn't want to park it in front of her place because it, um, might attract attention.

Did you further know that this isn't the original Lassie--I mean Wienermobile and that "she" was actually a "he"? THere have been 17 Wienermobiles over t--I mean Lassies--over the years all descended from the original manufacturing line. I mean think about it. Have you ever seen Lassie and the WienerMobile in the same room at once? I think not!

"I'd love to be an Oscar Meyer wiener/the one with the waggely tail".

Oops, wrong song. Sorry. :-)

I saw the Wienermobile once in Toronto driving by my workplace while I was out for a smoke break. My smoking coworker and I thought we were both hallucinating. It was a good thing that we could check in with each other...

I wonder how much the weinermobile charges to make an appearance at a party or function? Weddings, birthday parties, funerals, board meetings-- maybe not bar mitzvahs though...

Lookit the label on the rear of the wiener, Emily. It's a BEEF Wienermobile. Bar Mitzvahs not a problem.

I LOVE the Weinermobile. I've gotten currency from living in the place where it lives. If they took old ladies as Weiners I would SO be on the list, but it's college students. I saw the inside once at a Bratfest - and the horn DOES play the song, I think! (The drivers have an unending supply of weiner puns - how's that for a job description?)

Weiner puns??? Road Trips?
I would so become a college student all over again for that!
