Maybe Not What You've All Been Waiting For...

But it's what I have ready. This is the Iron Mountain Hat.

Iron Mountain Hat

IronMtn6

It's a pretty easy knit and a great way to dip your toes in the water if you're working up to trying some simple Fair Isle accents in your knitting. Iron Mountain is a reversible, double-layer hat, with fold up brim for extra warmth. Shown in my rustic handspun 2 ply fingering weight yarn, it would work quite well in any number of commercially available yarns.

Pattern available for immediate pdf download. $4 US

Very cool! I wish I could turn the time machine on and knit this for my little brother last year instead of what I did knit him. ;-) The world can never have enough stylin man hats.

Oh, now Elizabeth, THAT is a stunning, neatly-worked and beautiful toque, to be sure! (Luckily for me the reenactors only want the plain ol' historical variety!) But Beth said she can show me the mysterious "stranding"...mayhap, one day, it'll be two colors for me too!

Now that looks warm and also fun to knit. When shall expect delivery of your handspun--or should I stop by and pick it up?
