Perfect Storm?

We've had a bit of weather. The snow's supposed to start soon and we're expecting 6-12 inches by midnight.

I do NOT want another weather-related day off of school tomorrow. Not like the powers that be are asking me.

Edited to add: the Madison school district does not have Presidents Day off. We do however, have a day off planned for Friday so the teachers can attend another teacher conference. So, I really really don't want to have Monday off, too.

The weather has moved on leaving us with much less snow than had been predicted. Assuming the city gets the plows out tonight before the deep freeze, we should be fine for tomorrow.

I said the same thing -- There better not be a snow day tomorrow -- though, not like I have much say in the matter, and fortunately my schedule is quite flexible..... Good luck with the weather!

Y'all don't get President's day off from school? The public schools were closed Friday and are closed Monday for it. I don't even have to work--but Chunky still has school--God save private kindergarten!

I love those ice-glaze days. They make for the best photos!

Lovely pine and ice photo!

Hang in there with the weather and the school dilemmas. You've had such a bad winter. Heard That Weather Channel say this morning that this was your area's greatest amount of snow ever. And that was as of today.

Hoping the wind blows the storm faster so you get less of it.

Great photos! We had lots of rain last night, followed by snow which turned to several inches of slush later today. Hopefully nothing more than a plunge into colder temps will follow. As for school, mine have Presidents Day off so that's already a done deal!

Everything sure looks pretty glazed in ice. Hope you get your wish ;-)

Oh, Elizabeth, what beautiful pictures (make them into cards, I would SO love to use them!) The crystal, sparkling glazed branches are just so wonderful. I seriously NEED each season and relish the delights of each - but I'd get testy too if I had to deal with younglings, that is absolutely the truth. Thanks for these!
