Third Time's a Charm?

This entrelac scarf is the third go-around for this yarn. I think it's finally done. Well, I mean, I'm done with it. This is the crappy iPhone pic of it blocking on the porch on a grey rainy day.

The yarn is Rowan Tapestry, which really doesn't like to get frogged. I think I had two balls of it.

The entrelac squares were eight stitches wide.

I think I worked on US #6 needles.

Very nice. I'm currently knitting socks that would match that perfectly. Not that a scarf needs matching socks.
I bought a ball of Tapestry with the idea of using it in a scarf or kerchief, but I've since read that it is scratchy. Is it?

I'm usually kind of "meh" about entrelac. Never had an urge to try it because it never knit up into anything I'd want to wear.

But that scarf changed my mind. I love how the colors play and weave and fade in and out....it's really lovely!

I love it, and entrelac usually leaves me cold. It's the way that the grey tones play with each other -- really lovely.

I like it. It reminds me of a late winter day!

I like it, too (another grey fan). But what I really love is the "alright, I'll give you the damn specs" 'tude.

I've had projects like that.

You found out what that yarn was supposed to be. You are the yarn whisperer.
